While influenced by Baltimore Open Pit BBQ, over three decades of experience means Pete has put his own unique spin on the classic approach. Whether it’s pit beef, pit turkey, ribs, brisket, BBQ pulled pork, smoked whole chicken or BBQ pulled chicken, you’ll find quality meat slow cooked to perfection on a professional-grade smoker or grilled over an open fire, and then piled high on a sandwich to die for. All done with our own Chesapeake-inspired, hand-crafted sauces and rubs.
But Wrangler offers more than just outstanding barbecue. From pasta creations to tantalizing desserts, we can make your special event even more special. ABOUT WRANGLER BBQ
With over 30 years experience in the restaurant business, Pete Squatrito knows a thing or two about delivering quality dining experiences. Whether as a chef, kitchen manager, or general manager, he’s not only developed a wide range of cooking techniques but he’s been laser focused on ensuring a quality guest experience. From fine dining to fast casual, he’s been responsible for the timeliness and quality across a number of concepts—all delivered with a smile. But it’s barbecue where he found his calling. Working in several highly-regarded BBQ establishments has enabled him to hone his craft. The end result? Delicious barbecue with a unique Wrangler flair.
Crafting customized menus for Wrangler customers has enabled me to get back to my culinary roots. I’ve always been drawn to what I consider the art of barbecue. There’s something about the ‘low and slow’ process that makes it all that much more satisfying to deliver. You have to be prepared for an all-day process and you can only do that by combining a great deal of patience with a good sense of fun.
